Former President Donald Trump is set to announce his 2024 presidential bid on Tuesday, according to one of his former senior advisers.

In an interview on former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon's podcast Friday, Jason Miller said the November 15's "special announcement" would confirm Trump's early entry into the presidential field and end the many speculations on his 2024 presidential bid.

Miller noted that Trump will announce on Tuesday that he is "running for president," adding that it will be "a very professional, very buttoned-up announcement," Yahoo reported.

The former top advisor said a run-through of the event had already taken place at Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence and country club in Florida on Friday morning. Miller noted that he and the former president had talked about his decision to run again "on the golf course."

He said Trump told him: "There doesn't need to be any question. Of course I'm running. I'm gonna do this and I want to make sure that people know that I'm fired up."

Trump had teased his possible announcement in a press statement released Thursday night. The statement read: "President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will hold a special announcement at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 9:00PM EST."

Donald Trump 2024 Presidential Campaign

Some of the former president's allies have urged him to delay his announcement until after the Senate runoff election in Georgia next month. Jason Miller was one of those Donald Trump's allies urging him to delay his presidential run announcement.

Miller told the Associated Press that Georgia needs to be the focus of the Republicans right now. A veteran Trump adviser who worked on the 2020 campaign told CBS News that they have never seen Trump more irresponsible and "chaotic than he is today."

The source noted that the former president seems "to be in self-destruct mode," adding that it is "irresponsible to attack [Florida Gov. Ron] DeSantis and [Virginia Gov. Glenn] Youngkin."

Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky also told CBS News that he would "prefer" if the former president will wait until after the Georgia runoff race.

Another source close to Trump noted that if the former president announces a 2024 bid before the Georgia runoff race, they "don't see a path forward."

The same source compared the enthusiasm at DeSantis' victory rally, which was attended by thousands of people, to Trump's event in Mar-a-Lago, with 100 of his friends and political consultants. The source said the lack of enthusiasm in the upcoming 2024 presidential campaign of Donald Trump "is a sinking ship."

Donald Trump vs. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis

Donald Trump attacked Ron DeSantis on his social media website, Truth Social, on Thursday, describing him as an "average" governor who benefited from "great Public Relations."

ABC News reported that Trump also repeated his term of "Ron DeSanctimonious" to refer to DeSantis. He noted that his support had been the key to DeSantis' win, adding that the Republican governor "was politically dead" at the time.

The former president also recalled his "similar rivals" in the 2016 GOP presidential primary, saying he "easily knocked them out, one by one." DeSantis aides have yet to respond to requests to comment on Trump's tirades.

However, one of Trump's top aides told ABC News that the former president's "overreaction against DeSantis" is making the situation "even worse."
