Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of rock 'n' roll icon Elvis Presley, had been married four times. Here's a look at her unusual relationships with ex-husbands Michael Jackson, Nicolas Cage, Danny Keough, and Michael Lockwood.

Lisa Marie died at the age of 54 on Thursday night. She was taken to a hospital that morning for possible cardiac arrest.

A source told TMZ that she had complained of stomach aches early Thursday morning, stressing that her death was not suicide. Lisa Marie reportedly suffered a full cardiac arrest before the paramedics arrived.

Just after the housekeeper discovered the singer motionless in her bedroom, her ex-husband, Keough, who she lives with, returned from dropping off their children at school.

Keough performed CPR on Lisa Marie while waiting for the paramedics. Upon arrival, the paramedics performed CPR and administered at least one epinephrine shot, which made her heartbeat return.

Lisa Marie was then rushed to a hospital and was placed in the ICU, on life support with a temporary pacemaker, but she still died later that night.

Lisa Marie Presley Marriages: Who Was Her Four Husbands

Lisa Marie Presley led a glorious yet difficult life, marrying and divorcing four times throughout her life. Her love life reportedly cost her money in divorce payments over the years.

Danny Keough was Lisa Marie's first husband. She then married Michael Jackson, Nicolas Cage, and Michael Lockwood.

Danny Keough

Lisa Marie Presley and Chicago-based musician Danny Keough started dating in 1985. They met while they were both checked into a drug rehabilitation center.

Three years later or on October 1988, when she was almost 20, they tied the knot. Soon after their autumn wedding, the couple announced another happy event: the arrival of their first child, PEOPLE reported.

On May 1989, they welcomed their daughter Danielle Riley Keough and son Benjamin Storm Presley Keough on October 1992.

But after five and a half years of marriage, Lisa Marie and Danny divorced in May 1994. After their separation, the ex-couple remained friends. She previously said that they were "like brother and sister."

Michael Jackson

In the summer of 1994, shortly after her divorce from Danny Keough, Lisa Marie Presley married renowned musician Michael Jackson.

The couple secretly wed in the Dominican Republic before eventually confirming the marriage rumors weeks later. Lisa Marie met Michael at one of her late father's Las Vegas shows nearly 20 years earlier.

At the time, she was seven years old, while Michael was still a member of the Jackson Five and had yet to begin his solo career.

Their marriage was marred by rumors that they had only married to distract from the child molestation accusations against Jackson and that they did not have sex. The couple was married for two years before Lisa Marie filed for divorce in 1996.

Nicolas Cage

Lisa Marie Presley and actor Nicolas Cage were introduced before she broke up with her fiancé John Oszajca at Johnny Ramone's birthday party in October 2000.

Lisa Marie and Nicolas began dating in May 2001, a month after Lisa Marie ended her engagement with the Hawaiian-born musician.

Nicolas and Lisa Marie married in 2002, a marriage that would last only a few months. According to Nicolas, he was instantly smitten by Lisa Marie upon meeting her.

They tied the knot in Hawaii with their children in August 2002 and separated in November of the same year, TODAY reported. However, it took nearly two years for them to finalize their divorce.

In a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter after Lisa Marie's death, Nicolas said it was "devastating news," and he was "heartbroken."

He added: "Lisa had the greatest laugh of anyone I ever met. She lit up every room, and I am heartbroken. I find some solace believing she is reunited with her son Benjamin."

Michael Lockwood

Lisa Marie Presley and guitarist and music producer Michael Lockwood married in 2006.

They had twin girls, Finley and Harper, in 2008 but separated 10 years later after she claimed she discovered a lot of images of child pornography on Michael's computer.

He has denied the allegation. A contentious custody battle ensued before their divorce was finalized five years after their split or in May 2021.

At the time of her death, Lisa Marie had 60% custody of the twins, leaving Michael 40%.

But now that their mother was gone, the fate of the now 14-year-old twins could reportedly involve another custody battle between their father and other relatives, such as Lisa Marie's mom, Priscilla, and the twins' half-sister, 33-year-old actress Riley Keough.

Following Lisa Marie Presley's death, Michael's lawyer, Joe Yanny, told The Post that the musician's "world has been turned on its ear."

Yanny added: "Michael had been hoping for a speedy and complete recovery because her children needed her. It is very sad it didn't turn out that way."
