Jenna Ortega and Aubrey Plaza's chemistry was chilling as they presented the award for outstanding performance by a male performer in a television movie or limited series at Sunday's 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

After 10 seconds of silence while standing at the podium of SAG Awards 2023, Aubrey Plaza, 38, said, "I don't know why they paired us up together."

"I know we have nothing in common," Jenna Ortega, 20, replied.

"We should find the people who did this," Plaza said before they simultaneously said, "And curse their families and watch as misfortune follows their bloodline for the next seven generations."

"Okay, I see it now," Plaza said.

Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams in Netflix's popular series "Wednesday," took time out on the red carpet to chat with PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly's Janine Rubenstein and Jeremy Parsons about her life since the release of the show last year.

"It felt like a whirlwind, maybe more at the end of the year, when the show initially came out," Ortega shared. "

"I've felt my life change," she added.

Jenna Ortega's role on Wednesday earned her a nomination for outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series.

The show, based on the famous TV series "The Addams Family" and stars Catherine Zeta-Jones and Christina Ricci, was nominated for only one award at this year's ceremony.

Meanwhile, Aubrey Plaza and the other actors in HBO's "The White Lotus" received an award for best performance by an ensemble in a drama series.

Everything Everywhere Takes Home Almost Everything at SAG Awards 2023

The interdimensional adventure "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" is the clear frontrunner for best film at next month's Academy Awards, having swept the top honors at the Screen Actors Guild awards.

In addition to Michelle Yeoh's best actress win, Ke Huy Quan's and Jamie Lee Curtis also took home awards for best supporting actor and best suporting actress, respectively, Al Jazeera noted.

Yeoh moved to tears and received her award while stifling several choice expletives.

"This is not just for me," claimed Yeoh, born and raised in Malaysia, adding that the award is for every little girl that looks like her.

Quan, a child star in an Indiana Jones film in 1984 but had not acted in years, claimed to be the first Asian to receive the award.

Quan said he stepped away from acting because there were few opportunities.
