Comedian and "The Daily Show" correspondent Roy Wood Jr. hosted the White House correspondents' dinner and roasted President Joe Biden and other personalities in news media and politics.

The president, First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, celebrities, and other notables attended the sold-out event at the Washington Hilton on Saturday night.

Right off the bat, Wood poked fun at Biden's own classified documents scandal, saying, "Real quick, Mr. President, I think you left some of your classified documents up here... I'll put them in a safe place, he don't know where to keep them."

Wood also took aim at Biden's age by referencing massive protests in France, where citizens took to the streets when the government raised the retirement age by two years up or to 64.

"Meanwhile in America, we have an 80-year-old man begging us for four more years of work," he quipped.

Wood also set his sights on controversial New York congressman George Santos, congratulating him as "Arizona State senior" who was "tonight's top scholarship recipient."

The Republican lawmaker previously admitted that he had lied about his resume and never graduated from any college.

The comedian also joked about Santos' history as a drag queen, saying he was not present that night because he was auditioning for "RuPaul's Drag Race."

Roy Wood Jr. on Tucker Carlson and Fox News, CNN and Don Lemon, and Donald Trump

Two big firings rocked news media: Fox News fired Tucker Carlson, while CNN fired Don Lemon. Roy Wood Jr. quickly pounced on these developments during his White House correspondents' dinner performance.

"Tucker Carlson is out of the job. Some people celebrating. But to Tucker's staff, I want you to know that I know what you're feeling. I work at 'The Daily Show' so I, too, have been blindsided by the sudden departure of the host of a fake news program," Wood joked.

As for Don Lemon, the comedian poked fun at the reports of him being difficult to work with, according to Politico.

Wood quipped: "Yes, Don Lemon was a diva, and he said a couple of women are raggedy in the face. But that's a promotion at Fox News."

Wood also poked fun at Fox News for having to pay Dominion Voting Systems over $700 million in settlement and still facing Smartmatic's defamation lawsuit. He did this by jokingly praising both voting machine companies as the best.

As for former President Donald Trump, Wood called him the "king of scandals," according to CNN.

"Keeping up with Trump scandals is like watching Star Wars movies... You got to watch the third one to understand the first one, then you got - you can't miss the second one because it's got Easter eggs for the fifth one," the comedian said.

Joe Biden Goes 'Dark Brandon' at White House Correspondents' Dinner

Before Roy Wood Jr. took the podium, Joe Biden was roasting everyone, from Marjorie Taylor Greene to Rupert Murdoch to Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump.

Biden noted that Wood offered him $10 to keep his remarks under 10 minutes. However, the president jokingly added, "That's a switch, a president being offered hush money," as he referred to Donald Trump's infamous hush-money scandal.

He also poked fun at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his recent legal woes with Disney.

"I had a lot of Ron DeSantis jokes ready, but Mickey Mouse beat the hell out of me. He got there first," the president quipped.

Biden also joked that Fox Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch makes him look like Harry Styles. He also took aim at Republican lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greene, joking, "I want everybody to have fun tonight, but please be safe. If you find yourself disoriented or confused, either you're drunk or Marjorie Taylor Greene," referring to the Georgia congresswoman's wild and baseless theories.

Biden ended his speech by telling Roy Wood Jr. that he would be "fine with your jokes, but I'm not sure about Dark Brandon" before bringing to life "Dark Brandon," an Internet meme of the president's edgier self, by donning a pair of sunglasses.
