Floyd Mayweather Jr. will not give into trainer Robert Garcia's challenge in his upcoming rematch with Marcos Maidana on Sept. 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Garcia, Maidana's trainer, recently challenged Mayweather to bet his entire purse and allow his opponent to wear an Everlast MX gloves, but the reigning pound-for-pound king is not interested in the wager.

In an interview with BoxingScene, Mayweather said that Garcia has no right to make a bet, insisting that the trainer will not be the one to enter the ring and earn money on fight night.

"Robert Garcia is doing all the talking, but he's not the one who has to get in there and feel this wrath. He don't have to get in there and feel this wrath. I can't worry about what Robert Garcia is saying. How can Robert Garcia make a bet? You're just a trainer. It's not your money," Mayweather said.

The unbeaten champion also insisted that Maidana can't wear the Everlast MX gloves he used during the first fight, reiterating that gloves with no padding should not be allowed in a boxing match.

"He's trying to come on the record and say 'shake my hand and I can wear my gloves.' No you're not. You are not fighting me with gloves with no padding. No you're not," Mayweather said.

Mayweather threatened to call off the first fight on May 3 after Maidana's camp tried to use their usual MX brand from Everlast. The 37-year-old boxing icon said that Maidana's gloves had no padding.

Maidana's camp presented another pair of MX gloves, which got the approval from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, but Mayweather rejected it as well, forcing Maidana to wear a different set of gloves.

"The Nevada Commission is the best commission in the world and they said the gloves were approved, but at the end of the day -- ain't nobody from the Nevada Commission ever got inside that squared circle and had to fight," Mayweather said.

Mayweather, who remains undefeated in 46 professional fights, will put his WBA and WBC welterweight title on the line in the pay-per-view rematch.
