Ladies and gentleman, we finally have our Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey (Warning: this article contains book spoilers).

According to Deadline, actress and fashion model Dakota Johnson has been cast as the main character Anastasia Steele in the upcoming movie adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." The erotic novel, written by E.L. James, is the first of the trilogy which revolves around college graduate Steele and her sexually charged relationship with extremely wealthy industrialist Christian Grey.

James tweeted the news about Johnson's casting this morning, and her most recent tweet reads: "The gorgeous and talented Charlie Hunnam will be Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."

Hunnam's casting as Grey had been rumored late last month, along with speculation that "Fantastic Four" star Chris Evans was also being considered for the high-profile role. Hunnam, 33, has starred as Jax Teller in FX's hit motorcycle drama "Sons of Anarchy" for the past five seasons (Season 6 premieres Sept. 10) and co-starred in the sci-fi flick "Pacific Rim" earlier this summer.

The 23-year-old Johnson, who is the daughter of actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, has appeared in movies such as "The Social Network," "21 Jump Street," "The Five-Year Engagement" and "Need For Speed." She also starred in the short-lived Fox sitcom "Ben & Kate."

In the novel, Anastasia Steele falls in love with the "perfect man" Christian Grey. She realizes that she loves everything about him except for his sexual fetishes, which involve submission and S&M fantasies.

According to Deadline, the news of Johnson's casting first came from E.L. James herself. It's not surprising that the coveted role went to a fairly new actress, Deadline reports. If the script is anything like the book, the role will presumably include a good amount nudity and erotic situations, but everyone involved in the movie is determined for it to get an R rating.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and E.L. James, with a script by Kelly Marcel. James's trilogy has sold over 70 million copies worldwide. The Universal Pictures and Focus Features film is set to be released in the U.S. on Aug. 1, 2014.
