The Los Angeles Lakers didn't have the eventful NBA offseason that their fans had hoped for.

They didn't acquire the big name player like Chris Bosh, Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James, but they did save salary cap space and get a few good players. Carlos Boozer and Jeremy Lin being the most notable.

Looking toward to the future, the Lakers may have to make a few trades to ensure success. Here are four players who could be traded before the end of next season.

1. Robert Sacre

Robert Sacre doesn't have a lot of trade value, but he could help a team down the road. Sacre has only been in the NBA for two seasons, and he hasn't seen much playing time, starting just 16 games. He does however provide a large 7-foot, 260-pound body. For a center, he is a fantastic free throw shooter. With Jordan Hill emerging, the Lakers may be better off trading Sacre away and sticking with Hill and Boozer down low.

2. Ed Davis

Despite being just 25 years old, Davis has been on three different teams so far in his young career. He's not a very skilled scorer of the basketball, and his passing skills aren't considering top notch either. He is however an efficient player who shoots over 54 percent from the field. Davis is scheduled to make less than $1 million next season, so a trade should be fairly easy.

3. Carlos Boozer

Boozer only has one year remaining on his contract. Boozer is a really good power forward, not an elite Hall of Famer, but he's one of the best in today's game. Fortunately for the Lakers, the Chicago Bulls are still paying much of his salary next season. If the Lakers get off to a terrible start next year, they may want to trade Boozer away and get value while they still can. Let's also not forget that Julius Randle was selected by the Lakers No. 7 overall in this year's draft.

4. Wesley Johnson

Small forward Wesley Johnson is scheduled to make less than $1 million next season on his one year contract. If the Lakers show signs of success next year and Nick Young plays great, they could trade away Johnson. Johnson is a former No. 4 overall draft pick, but he hasn't quite lived up to his college reputation. This will be the third team of Johnson's NBA career.

Other Lakers Roster Notes:

Veteran point guard Steve Nash is obviously past his prime, but the odds of him being traded away are slim to none. Nash is 40 years old and will be making about $9.7 million next season. Don't count on any team trading for that contract. Michael Beasley is still a free agent. The former No. 2 overall pick has drawn a lot of interest from the Lakers in recent weeks, but nothing has been finalized.
