With Apple introducing two new phones -- the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c -- they also made some other important announcements that you may have missed. To update you with that news roundup, here are some of the latest updates.

iOS 7 by Sept. 18

The next major change for Apple's mobile OS is iOS 7. It will be offered as free download starting Sept. 18 and made compatible with other later versions of the iPhone too.

iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C Features

Among the many new features of the iPhone 5S, its elegant colors are one of its most talked about offerings. It will be made available in space gray, silver and gold. Its prices will range from $199 for 10GB, $229 for 32 GB and $399 for a 64GB phone with a two year contract. It will be on the market by Sept. 20 in countries like US, China, Japan, Singapore, UK, Australia, Canada, France, UK, and Germany among many others.

Apple even plans to distribute it to a hundred countries and with about 270 carriers by December. News on whether the iPhone 5S will be made available in India has not been confirmed yet.

On the other hand, the iPhone 5C is deemed as the replacement for the current iPhone 5. It has a hard-coated body with an 8MP iSight camera and 5-element lens. It is also available in a wide variety of colors namely in white, yellow, pink, green and blue. It will also be released on Sept 20. in the same countries mentioned above.

XCode Gold Master Release

Apple has also introduced their final version of iOS 7, called the gold master edition, and they have released the Xcode to other iOS developers who are registered.
