Josh Horowitz, host of "Happy Sad Confused," recently sat down in an interview with Academy Award-winning legend Al Pacino to talk about breaking through in Hollywood, his iconic roles, the long list of directors he's work with, being recognized on the streets of New York City and his love for actors Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac. They also talked about Pacino's upcoming projects, one more surprising than the rest.

Pacino, who was most recently seen in "The Humbling" and "Manglehorn," said he has a film part in the works with one of the keynote superhero film companies. Perhaps unexpectedly, Pacino is a fan of Marvel Cinematic Universe and praised 2014's "Guardians of the Galaxy" before divulging some exciting news:

"I've met with the Marvel guy," he said. "It's a Marvel how things happen."

Pacino confirmed his meeting with Kevin Feige, the multi-billionaire film producer and president of Marvel Studios.

"I would imagine that either there's something he feels is right for me, and if I feel ..." Pacino said before being interrupted by a ringing cell phone.

Pacino proceeded to tease Horowitz, joking that the call was from Marvel trying to prevent him revealing any spoilers.

"Every time we talk about Marvel, that's what happens," Pacino said.

This is not a new development: In September, Pacino divulged he'd love to join the ranks of other silver screen stars that have signed on with Marvel, such as Robert Redford, Glenn Close and Michael Douglas, according to Comic Book Resources.

"I would do anything that I could understand in terms of how I fit in it," he said at the time. "And you know, of course if I could fit in it. Anything's possible. You know, I did 'Dick Tracy' and I got an Oscar nomination, so come on. I mean, what can I say?"

Collider mentioned that Pacino would be a great selection for the role of The Grandmaster (of "Avengers" lore) and Mephisto ("Ghost Rider," "Silver Surfer"). The website also noted that with the cliffhanger of the first film still looming over moviegoers heads, Pacino would be fitting for the role of Star-Lord's interstellar papa in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" sequel.

Only time will tell.
