At this point, it is now common knowledge that Grand Theft Auto 5 broke all kinds of records when it was released. After waiting years for a new GTA game, gamers hopped on board as soon as the game came out.

But now the Grand Theft Auto has reached new heights with its record-breaking streak. Guinness World Records reported this week that the launch of the new game broke six official records in the book.

Perhaps most notably, the game broke the record for the highest revenue generated by an entertainment product in a 24 hour time span. The video game sold 11.21 million copies within the timeframe, which accumulated to $815.7 million.

Here is the full list as presented by Guiness Book of Records:

1.    Best-selling action-adventure videogame in 24 hours

2.    Best-selling videogame in 24 hours

3.    Fastest entertainment property to gross $1 billion

4.    Fastest videogame to gross $1 billion

5.    Highest grossing videogame in 24 hours

6.    Highest revenue generated by an entertainment product in 24 hours

7.    Most viewed trailer for an action-adventure videogame

As seen in number four, the game racked up $1 billion in the fastest timeframe ever, which was a mere three days. That was completed on Sept. 20. According to Guinness, the previously held record was from the Call of Duty videogame, which may have been even more impressive considering how the COD games are released so frequently. Also holding some of the records before GTA 5 were The Avengers film as well as Avatar.
