Oscar Mendoza, singer for Los Aferrados de Apatzingan, has been found dead.

The musician's body was found on Feb. 10 in Apatzingan, Michoacan with a bullet wound in his head and one in his back, reported the state attorney general, according to Terra.

The 21-year-old singer had been in the group for five years. He was reported as missing after he did not return home on Feb. 9 and was supposed to be looking into a contract. Mendoza's body was found in the morning the following day.

No suspects have been named, and no further information has been released.

In October 2014, the death of Aldo Sarabia shook up norteño fans. It was initially reported that he was killed by his wife and her lover, but the suspects then said Sarabia's wife had nothing to do with it.

Sarabia's children were conflicted because on top of mourning the loss of their father, they also did not know whether or not their mother was involved in his death.

"Despierta América" reported that Aldo Sarabia Jr. did not notice a strained relationship between his parents. He did not believe his mother could commit a crime and also did not think his father could have sexually abused Aldo Jr.'s sister.

Tito Torbellino, a singer of narco corridos, music that glorifies the drug trade, was murdered in May 2014. Following his death, some singers chose not to perform in Mexico, but Kevin Ortiz decided not to go that route.

"It doesn't affect me because corrido singers will always have something to talk about because of violence, because of history. ... But it never stops being music," he said, according to La Opinion. "But the truth, I prefer being a unique artist that speaks about reality with songs that have a lot of meaning."
