Ninel Conde may have previously denied that her ex-husband, Juan Zepeda, was abusive toward her, but in a lawsuit, she accuses him of having physically and verbally abused her, reports TV y Novelas.

Conde also alleged that Zepeda constantly threatened her if she tried to speak up about his fraudulent checks. She called him dangerous, and said that if something happens to her or her family, then it is his doing.

When she and Zepeda split up, she said that the "motive for this decision was never because of violence."

Last year, Conde testified against Zepeda so that a preliminary investigation could be started, according to Diario Basta.

"Ninel Conde Herrera is present without pressure in response to the subpoena, clearing up the date on which she learned of the embezzlement..." is reportedly what Conde said when she appeared in front of the Central Office of Investigation for financial crimes.

Conde had a rough 2014. The actress was accused of having an abortion, which proved false when she gave birth later in the year.

"Everything will be cleared in time," she said at the time of the accusations, according to TV y Novelas. "Obviously, it's an unpleasant situation. It's a very unpleasant situation. I am a woman who is pro-life. I would never have an abortion."

Conde, who was already a mother when the rumors surfaced, said the gossip was just a smear campaign against her. She further explained that she could never have an abortion.

"I'm a mother," she said, according to TV y Novelas. "I have a daughter, and of the most serious things I have been accused of, I can tell you that I would never dare to end a pregnancy because I am a mother. I think it would be impossible for women who have been to dare to do that."
