Today, Rockstar Games released its highly-anticipated Beach Bum DLC update for Grand Theft Auto Online.

The Beach Bum update is now available via a free download on Xbox Live, but will not be available for PlayStation 3 users until tomorrow. The update is 64 MB and arrives as a title update when users boot up Grand Theft Auto Online.

Most Grand Theft Auto Online gamers already know that the update comes with beach themed jobs, vehicles, weapons and customization options, but there are some other additions that come with the update that Los Santos' residents may not know about.

According to Metro, the update also comes with three interesting changes:

1.       "The Bad Sport penalty for destroying personal vehicles has been reduced significantly."

This means that players can use their helicopter grappling hook to throw cars into the water.

2.       "Removed some instances of debris in specific Races, including the cardboard from the 'Down the Drain' Race."

Now gamers do not have to fear a piece of cardboard on the side of a sewer that used to send them to their unexpected death.

3.       "Restricted cars and vehicles that have been added to player garages through exploits have been removed. This includes tanks, helicopters and police vehicles."

This includes army vehicles.

New beach-themed jobs include Races, Deathmatches, Last Team Standings, Parachutes Survivals and Last Team Standings. Flashy new vehicles include BF Bifta dune buggy, the rugged Canis Kalahari off-road truck, the Bravado Paradise beach camper van and the Speeder speedboat. New weapons are available from any Ammu-Nation. Finally, new customization options allow gamers to make their look more beachy with updates like neon surfer wear, board shorts, tousled hair and tribal tattoos.
