With "Downton Abbey" concluding after its sixth season, the famous manor on which the series is filmed will reportedly be sold.

The Byfleet Manor, which is better known as the home to Dowager Duchess in the series, will be sold to a new family. The manor dates back to the seventh century and was recorded in 1086 in the Domesday Book, a famed land survey conducted by King William the Conqueror that exists to this day.

The manor used to be owned by Katherine of Aragon after the divorce with Henry VIII. Queen Elizabeth I is also known for having visited the house in 1576. The manor currently features four reception rooms and eight bedrooms, as well as a heavy timber staircase, several fireplaces and Jacobean wall pillars.

The manor has been seen on the small screen since 2010 as it has housed the character of Lady Violet Crawley, who is played by Academy Award winner Maggie Smith.

However, it is not the only show or film that the manor has been used for. Byfleet Manor was featured in the series inspired by Agatha Christie's "Poirot." The manor was also featured in last year's film "Into the Woods" as Cinderella's home.

Byfleet Manor is 20 miles from central London in Byfleet and is also 15 miles from London Heathrow Airport. The property is being sold for $6 million.

"Downton Abbey" is an Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning show, which chronicles the lives of the Crawley family and their servants, beginning in the years leading up to World War I. The show has been extremely successful and has been renewed six times.

Throughout its years on air, the show has starred Hugh Bonneville, Brendan Coyle, Jim Carter, Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, the upcoming "Beauty and the Beast" actor Dan Stevens, Jessica Brown Findlay and "Cinderella" star Lily James.

"Downton Abbey" airs on PBS and is currently available on Amazon Prime.
