Rumor has it that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be released sometime between August and October, especially now that Windows 10 has been confirmed for a July 29 launch, according to Windows Blog.

However, Paul Mueller, known industry analyst, has claimed that it is still highly likely that the device will be out in October.

“The Surface Pro 3 is selling just as well as it did when it first came out,” Mueller told Inquisitr. “Even though people expected a June or July release for the Surface Pro 4, it probably will not happen until Windows 10 is released.”

“We believe the best time to bring those flagship device to market is when we have our very latest flagship software experience available,” Neil Broadley, the director of phone marketing for Microsoft, said in an interview earlier this year. “We are focusing our flagship development for slightly later when Windows 10 is available.”

Tech Radar has reported that the Surface Pro 4 will be launched with either an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor and a stylus pen, just like its predecessor unit. The upcoming flagship laplet is expected to offer similar storage options as well, from 64 GB to 500 GB.

The Surface Pro 4, according to rumors, will also come with the Core M Broadwell CPU from Intel, which, in turn, was made available to the market in January. However, 36KR, a known Chinese publication, has reported that the device will actually come with another Broadwell CPU - one that has small holes in its casing for proper ventilating from within the unit. That said, the Surface Pro 4 can be a much thinner, and quieter device, as compared to the Surface Pro 3, while still utilizing the same display - 12-inch with 2,160 x 1,440 pixel resolution.

It is believed that the Surface Pro 4 will outperform the iPad Pro and new Macbook. That said, it is expected that the two aforementioned flagship laplets will be launched quite closely to one another. With all these rumored specifications, the Surface Pro 4 is expected to come out with a price from $1,200 to $2,000.

Broadley’s statement earlier this year also seems to hint that the company’s Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL might also be launched shortly after the Windows 10 OS will be out in the market. The REM has reported that this is part of Microsoft's move to work on its product front. Apart from the Surface Pro 4, Lumia 940, and Lumia 940 XL, the report also mentioned that the company will be unveiling its next gaming console, the Xbox One X, which is considered to be the gaming console of the future.
