Selena Gomez and The Cab lead singer Alexander DeLeon were spotted hanging out at Hotel Chantell in New York City, igniting dating rumors.

Although they both look good together, there is actually “nothing romantic between Selena and Alex at all,” according to a statement an insider gave to Hollywood Life.

“They definitely have no sexual chemistry with each other, but they are certainly not repulsed by each other,” the sources added. “Alex likes hanging out with beautiful people.”

On their night out, Gomez commanded the attention of onlookers with her sexy black ensemble. Her black jumpsuit had a low cut neckline that almost reached her navel, according to another report from Hollywood Life. Although her outfit had a plunging neckline, Gomez managed to stay classy. She kept her long hair in a sleek ponytail, wore very little makeup and she finished her look with a pair of black heels.

Gomez is definitely blooming, but DeLeon, apparently, only has eyes for one pretty lady, his present girlfriend, Danish model Josephine Skriver. According to the outlet's source, “things are going well” in their relationship.

Now that the dating rumors have been debunked, fans have started to speculate that the two may have a collaboration coming soon. Sadly, the insider revealed that “nothing is planned yet.” Still, though, there is a big possibility that Gomez and DeLeon will work on new music together because they've been friends for so long.

Gomez not giving up on love

She may have been hurt a lot of times in the past but that doesn't hinder Gomez from dating again. She has actually asked her A-list and more mature friends, Paul Rudd, Olivia Wilde, Johnny Knoxville and Jason Sudeikis to become her match makers.

“I was, like, ‘Guys, let us talk about some dates,’” Gomez said when she appeared on SiriusXM Hits 1’s “The Morning Mash Up.” “That is, kind of, my approach. When I meet cool people like them, I want what they have.”

It would appear that Gomez has been on a more positive attitude especially with regards to rebooting her return to the music industry since her highly publicized breakup with Justin Bieber, as pointed out by Daily Mail.
