Janelle Monae, Robin Thicke, K. Michelle, Tyga and Jidenna are the latest headliners to sign on as performers for the upcoming 15th annual BET Awards set to air live on the network from Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater on June 28.

According to Billboard, Grammy Award winner Kelly Rowland and Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson have also signed on as presenters. Network officials previously announced the event will be further highlighted by Janet Jackson receiving the BET inaugural Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award.

Jason Derulo, Ciara and Tinashe are all slated to salute the "Control" singer with a special dance tribute.

Other confirmed performers include Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo, Big Sean and Meek Mill. Rounding out the who's who list of presenters are Michael Ealy, Sanaa Lathan, Laverne Cox, Michael B. Jordan and Zendaya.

Brown and Minaj top this year's list of award nominees with six each, while Beyoncé and Lil Wayne clock in with four each.

This year's award show is slated to be hosted by "Black-ish" stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross. The award show will cap the three-day BET Experience at L.A. Live music and lifestyle festival commencing on June 25.

Billboard reports the 49-year-old Jackson last appeared at the BET Awards in June 2009, paying tribute to her world famous brother Michael who died three days earlier.

Janet recently released her first studio album in seven years and her Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-produced "No Sleeep" single has already reached the top spot on the Billboard Trending 140 list.

Jackson is expected to release the full album sometime this fall, and she is slated to kick off the first leg of her 37-date "Unbreakable" world tour on Aug. 31 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
