Rihanna has taken the Barbie look to whole different level in her latest fragrance advertising campaign. The star released the first image for her new perfume called RiRi, a nickname she has adopted, on her Instagram account on July 21.

The photo features the singer styled like a classic Hollywood glamour star with big hair, soft pink makeup, dramatic, false lashes, her wrist filled with pearls and covered in a lot of bright pink satin.

The campaign is quite the safe deviation for the scandalous singer, who has had four previous fragrances: Rebelle, Nude, Reb'l Fleur and Rogue. The campaigns for those fragrances have all been on the more revealing and sensual side.

According to Fashionista, the singer's ad campaign for Rogue was actually partially banned in the United Kingdom because it was too sexually suggestive. In the ad the singer is pictured wearing nothing but heels and black underwear.

While the singer makes headlines for her photos and fashion choices, she loves to push the envelope a bit further with her music videos. The 27-year-old's latest video, for single "B*tch Better Have My Money," shocked with its nudity, drug use and violence. The video ends with the star covered in blood after torturing a man who owed her money.

The singer also revealed last week she was designing socks with company Stance Socks. The collaboration took many by surprise, but according Candy Harris, the vice president of the women's division of Stance Socks, that is what Rihanna is all about.

"She's one of the few women in fashion whose style can go from street to couture in the blink of an eye," Harris told Vogue. "I know a lot of people are probably saying 'Why socks?' And that's really the beauty of it and that's why Rihanna's perfect, because she's constantly innovating and looking to see what's next. Socks are not really a trend; they're a fashion staple."

Rihanna is currently fulfilling her duties as the new face of Miss Dior, a role she made history for as the only black female to ever be named an ambassador for the French luxury brand.
