A week may seem like eternity for some but not for "World of Warcraft" fans anticipating a big reveal at next week's "Gamescom 2015."

Blizzard Entertainment has urged WOW followers to tune in to their Gamescom streaming for the live unveiling of the game's latest expansion pack.

The gaming studio that also brought us the "Diablo" and "Starcraft" game series confirmed the new expansion on Twitter. It will be revealed during a special live stream event on Aug. 6 at 9 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Further details on the latest expansion will be presented by Blizzard at an event two days later, Game Rant reported.

This announcement seems to coincide with Blizzard's annual pattern of WOW expansion releases. Its fifth and current expansion, "World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor," was announced on Nov. 8 last year and it was made available five days later.

As WOW subscription figures continue to wane recently, fans can expect a better and fairer gameplay from the new expansion with some technical issues ironed out.

Blizzard is expected to make radical adjustments since it was reported in May that they have banned more than 100,000 WOW player accounts for allegedly employing "bots" to have unfair advantage while playing in online multiplayer mode.

"We've recently taken action against a large number of World of Warcraft accounts that were found to be using third-party programs that automate gameplay, known as 'bots'," Blizzard stated in the announcement of the bans. "We're committed to providing an equal and fair playing field for everyone in World of Warcraft, and will continue to take action against those found in violation of our 'Terms of Use'. Cheating of any form will not be tolerated."

Blizzard has yet to reveal the name of its upcoming add-on though it can be noted that the studio filed for an "Eye of Azshara" trademark November last year.

"Azshara is a prominent character in World of Warcraft lore, the former queen of the Night Elves and current ruler of the malevolent naga. While players have battled Naga since World of Warcraft's original release, there have been several hints towards their existence being a machination of the Old Gods, making the Naga a race with enough interesting storyline material to base an expansion on," Game Rant wrote on that possibility.

Will "Eye of Azshara" be the name of WoW's new expansion? We'll soon find out.
