Electric car manufacturer Tesla is now moving full speed with the production of its upcoming Model X. The first ever sports utility vehicle from the American electric automaker promises to be high in power and speed to give its gasoline rivals a run for their money.

The SUV will have different trims in the future. However, for the moment, Tesla has opened the customization of the said vehicle for those who have pre-ordered the Signature Series.

According to Auto Blog, Tesla's Model X Signature Series can reach 240 mph with 60 mph in just a speed of 3.8 seconds. This model will be powered with 90 kWH battery and has a top speed of up to 155 mph.

As if that is not enough, Tesla will make it possible for drivers to trim down that speed by 0.6 seconds with the new Ludicrous Speed upgrade. The feature can bring the SUV to a reported 60 mph in 3.2 seconds of a quarter of a mile in just 11.7 seconds. The Ludicrous Speed can be added as an upgrade for the price of $10,000.

Apart from this, there is also a Tow Package option that owners can avail. This one will include a two-inch hitch receiver, Tow Mode software and a seven-pin connector for hauling other vehicles or anything that is up to 5,000 lbs. The Tow Package is available for $750.

Because different countries and states have different weathers, Tesla also offers a Subzero Weather package that will add a heated steering wheel, heated washer nozzles, defrosters for the wipers and a "three-zone heater" for the back seats. The Subzero Weather Package is a good addition for the extra price of $1,000.

All in all, a new Signature Series Model X can be copped for a price of $132,00 up to $144,000, reported Inside EVs.

Potential buyers will also need to shell out at least $40,000 in deposit for the vehicle.

With this price, there are other features Tesla Model X users can enjoy with the SUV. The falcon doors have a sensor that owners can utilize so it can be opened even in the garage.

It also features an Autopilot mode that gives a partial autonomous driving capability to the driver. Access to a supercharger network is also included in the SUV as well as blind-spot monitoring to avoid mini-accidents related to parking concerns.

The Tesla Model X also has an upgraded sound system and an air suspension armed with a GPS.

Customization of Model X is now open to those who pre-ordered. An email notification will be given to those who want to upgrade the specs of their current orders.
