The road to "WWE Night of Champions" continued in Miami with the latest "SmackDown" tapings.

WWE Tag Team a Champions The New Day opened the show with a promo against The Dudley Boyz. New Day protested against the Dudleys' use of tables. The Dudleys interrupted, but then The Prime Time Players appeared.

The Dudleys had the first match of the show, defeating The Prime Time Players. The New Day were at ringside, but there will be more New Day later in the show.

Stardust and Neville are apparently still feuding against each other. A match was scheduled between the two but never started as The Ascension appeared and attacked Neville.

Backstage, JoJo interviewed Cesaro. He was interrupted by Sheamus, and both promoted their upcoming match. The match was next, and Sheamus won.

It was time for more promos as MizTV hosted Dolph Ziggler and Lana. Summer Rae continued the interruption-fest and eventually brawled with Lana. Miz and Ziggler split the fight to end the segment.

After a "Bo-lieve" promo, Bo Dallas made his return after Brock Lesnar destroyed him on Aug. 25. Dallas went on to defeat R-Truth.

The divas were next with Charlotte defeating Tamina Snuka. After the match, a Team Bella appeared as WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella showed off her title. As seen during the last "Monday Night Raw," Charlotte became the No. 1 contender for the Divas Championship, and that match will take place at "Night of Champions."

The main event came with New Day's Big E and Kofi Kingston battling Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. The match ended in disqualification, in favor of Ambrose and Reigns.

The show ended and no appearance from WWE World Heavyweight Champion and United States Champion Seth Rollins, John Cena and Randy Orton.

Kevin Owens had a match taped for "Main Event," where he defeated Jack Swagger. Sasha Banks and Naomi also defeated Becky Lynch and Paige.

"WWE SmackDown" airs weekly on Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on SyFy.
