Since Bethesda unveiled the gameplay trailer of the highly anticipated sequel to "Dishonored" in the E3 event, many fans of the series are all looking forward to when they can finally play the game. Now, the directors of "Dishonored 2" have announced more gameplay and plot details that will definitely excite the fans further.

The game's co-directors Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio spoke at length about the game and issued further discussion on the cinematic trailer that they released during E3 alongside other upcoming offerings from Bethesda.

According to the game's developer, Arkane Studios, the events of "Dishonored 2" will begin 15 years after the timeline of the first video game, when her mother was murdered and she was kidnaped.

In the sequel, she is already a grown lady and a young monarch, noted Game Rant. Her story will begin soon as an enemy forced her into hiding by trying to take over her kingdom.

Smith stated that all the things seen in the cinematic trailer of the video game is playable and included in the upcoming title, which means that the environment seen in the video will be part of the game. In fact, it is called "The Clockwork Mansion," one of the quests for the players.

"Everything Emily does in this trailer, you can do in the game," promised the director.

Smith also elaborated on the other characters seen in the video, including the "clockwork soldiers" that were made by Jindosh Technologies.

The work of these weird-looking soldiers was further explained by the director. "They're sold to aristocrtas and high-value friends of the duke to protect their holdings."

Smith also added that there is a far more creepy-looking version of the "clockwork soldiers" in the game, which has a detachable head that reveals a robot underneath.

"They have a face in the back, and a face in the front, so the face in the back gives them a backward-facing view-cone," said the director.

Aside from Emily, another playable character in "Dishonored 2" is Corvo, who was the former guard of the murdered Empress and Emily's real father.

Playing either of the two characters will have the same quests and missions in the game. However, the difference will be in the powers each character can possess and wield throughout the game, said another report from Game Rant.

Choosing to play as Corvo or Emily will also alter the way the characters move and perceive the environment. "Corvo's an older guy" while "Emily is like an empress outlaw on the run," said Smith. Tactics and story will be different depending on the character chosen by the player.

"Dishonored 2" will be available in current generation consoles of PS4 and Xbox One and will also be playable in PC in 2016.
