WWE is not just partnering with consoles in terms of their video games, but with its television programs and live events as well. Last Feb. 24, WWE Network announced the U.S. release of its app for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Xbox 360, Gamespot reports.

The app allows wrestling fans to watch live shows and archive content through their gaming consoles. Aside from regular WWE programs, it will include specials, documentaries, and 12 live pay-per-view events.

In an article on Cinemablend, Perkins Miller, WWE's eVP for Digital Media, said, "WWE will also include groundbreaking original programming, reality shows, behind-the-scene specials, documentaries, classic matches, and more than 1,000 hours of video on demand at launch. This is the perfect time to get the app and sign up, especially with Wrestlemania 30 right around the corner."

To gain access to the app's contents, fans must pay a monthly subscription of $9.99, with a six-month commitment. But as part of the app's launch, fans can get a chance to enjoy the app for free with its one-week trial. Just head over to the App Section of the console to download it. Subscribers can also enjoy watching WWE Network content using their mobile devices and PCs.

Although the streaming app went live in the U.S. for the PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360 just the other day, Xbox One users shouldn't feel left out. They can expect to enjoy the app sometime in the summer of this year.

On the other hand, Pocket-lint reported that UK fans can get their hands on the app through the specified consoles in late 2014 or early 2015. The WWE Network also announced that it is planning to launch the app in other countries as well such as Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Canada, and in certain Nordic countries.
