Google will showcase two new "pure Android" smartphones later this month. The smaller device is manufactured by LG while the larger one by Huawei. Although details about the LG Nexus 5X, as reported by Latin Post, have been leaking from left to right, the same cannot be said of the Huawei Nexus 6 for the past few days.

Potential buyers shouldn't be concerned though as new details of the Huawei Nexus 6 have recently surfaced.

A smartphone codenamed "Huawei angler" was subjected to the GeekBench benchmark last week although it was only confirmed recently that the device was, in fact, the Huawei Nexus 6.

Chinese website My Drivers was the first to report on the latest Nexus development.

The Huawei Nexus 6 prototype was powered by the Snapdragon 810 processor from Qualcomm and was shown to have 3GB of RAM.

The model ran on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The new Android OS version could very well make its way to device's final build. This isn't much of a shocker since Google has a knack for introducing the company's latest Android software via Nexus devices.

Google's Nexus devices are held with a higher regard than other Android devices since apart from parading the latest in Android technology, they are manufactured free of bloatware and third-party applications from phone carriers or other Android-based device producers.

Android Headlines reports that the upcoming Huawei Nexus will have a 5.5-inch QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution display. However, there are rumors around claiming that its final build will eventually measure 5.7 inches.

The device is rumored to be fitted with a 21-megapixel main camera although not much is known about its front-facing unit. Other known specs include a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C connector.

The Huawei Nexus 6 and the LG Nexus 5X are set to be unveiled on Sept. 29 at Google's media event in San Francisco. Google will certainly announce the release dates for both devices during the event.

Rumor has it that the LG-manufactured Nexus will retail for $400. Not much is known about the price range for the upcoming Huawei offering yet it is safe to say the larger device will cost more than the Nexus 5X and will have a similar price from the Nexus 6 that was released last year.

In the meantime, Steve Hemmerstoffer aka @OnLeaks teased fans on Twitter with a smartphone cover built for the Huawei Nexus 6.
