The recent launching of iOS 9 has put several distinct changes in the iPhone line's screens. Rebranding has also made a significant impact on the phone's apps including Newsstand being replaced by News App as well as the Passbook being called the Wallet.

According to Tech Radar, the names weren't just changed, in fact, the word rebranding brought significant changes on the application itself. For example, consumers who hold credit cards under the Discover brand can now utilize their cards using Apple Pay.

Formerly, Apple Pay did not cater to Discover credit card holders, something that can now be attested by first-time users. A perk has also been added to first-time users of Discover credit cards in the form of a cash-back offer at the end of the year amounting to 10 percent of their in-store purchases.

The Discover card can now be used by consumers who currently own iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Watch, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 6S. The iOS 9 has also listed several other apps that are currently being developed for future use.

The Apple Pay Fold is an example of a pending app that hasn't quite utilized its role yet. The Apple Pay Fold lets you store specialized credit cards such as JCPenny, Kohl's and Best Buy and instantly use them when paying.

However, the app seems to be incomplete at the moment as some users tried it for the first time only to be written off as ineligible. The Apple Pay itself is a new app, but the concept of enabling the online payment form to accept additional merchants can also be considered as rewards by consumers.

Tech Radar posted a review about the Wallet, saying, "Apple's digital Wallet collects our credit card numbers and charges without us taking out our wallets."

While the news outlet praised the app for its easy installation, the said feature is currently limited within the U.S. at the moment, locking the app when you're in other regions. A user of the said app said, "For the first time since my parents bought me McDonald's Happy Meals as a kid, I didn't have to take out my wallet. It remained firmply in my back pocket." Security of the app can also be commended as it uses the Touch ID sensor to access it.
