The wild and crazy NBA offseason is almost over. We saw so many great players switch teams in free agency to contending squads. Other teams overpaid for average players while some teams were left empty handed. General manager have to make sure they don't spend too much so they can build a championship roster.

Here are the top five best signings of this NBA offseason.

5. Paul Pierce- Los Angeles Clippers

Paul Pierce is just the kind of player the Los Angeles Clippers needed. The Clippers constantly struggle to win big games in the postseason, and Pierce's veteran leadership will rub off. Pierce is a former NBA Finals MVP, and he has made numerous big time shots throughout his Hall of Fame career. He won't score a ton of points like we've seen him do in the past, but don't be surprised is Pierce banks in a few game-winners this season.

4. Greg Monroe- Milwaukee Bucks

Greg Monroe stunned everyone when he chose to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks. Fans everywhere thought for sure he would be signing with either the Los Angeles Lakers or New York Knicks so he could play in a big basketball city. The Bucks got a great deal on Monroe for just under $52 million. Monroe is only 25 years old, he's a great free throw shooter, stays healthy, and he's a good rebounder. Pound for pound by value, the Bucks got a solid deal here.

3. DeAndre Jordan- Los Angeles Clippers

After weeks of speculation and mind changing, DeAndre Jordan finally returned to the Los Angeles Clippers. Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks were left empty handed, but that's how it works in the NBA sometimes. The Clippers gave up more than $80 million to keep Jordan, but they have to have him on the floor if they're going to win it all. Jordan has led the NBA in defensive rebounds the last two seasons and field goal percentage the last three years. Jordan isn't a great scorer, but he's the enforcer the Clippers need down low in the paint come playoff time.

2. LaMarcus Aldridge- San Antonio Spurs

He was the best player who switched teams. LaMarcus Aldridge has spent his entire nine year career with the Portland Trail Blazers, but he is now a member of the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs spent big money on Aldridge in this four year deal, but he's well worth it. David West was willing to take an $11 million pay cut to leave the Indiana Pacers and join the Spurs. With an elite young player like Aldridge, it means more rest for Tim Duncan and other veteran players like Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker. We all know how much Gregg Popovich loves to rest his players.

1. LeBron James- Cleveland Cavaliers

It's hard to argue against this one. The Cleveland Cavaliers are the only elite team in the dismal Eastern Conference thanks to LeBron James. He's the best player in the league hands down. The Cavaliers re-signed Kevin Love but have yet to agree on a new deal with Tristan Thompson. James will more than likely opt out of his contract again next offseason so he can make even more money. Don't worry Cavaliers fans, James should re-sign again. As long as James is on the Cavaliers, they're easily the front-runners in the East.
