The New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles will face off on Monday night in a classic NFC East rivalry game. This game has huge implications on the NFL standings, as the Dallas Cowboys have a bye week and the Washington Redskins lost their week 6 game to the New York Jets.

Let's preview the game and pick a winner.

New York Giants (3-2)

Tom Coughlin's team is 3-2 after three consecutive wins over the Redskins, Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers. Amazingly, the Giants are currently the only team in the NFC East that even have a winning record. Eli Manning is playing well with 10 touchdowns, two interceptions and a 100.2 passer rating. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made the trip to Philadelphia, but he is listed as "questionable" on the roster for this game due to a hamstring injury.

If Beckham can't play, Rueben Randle and Larry Donnell will certainly get more looks their way. Shane Vereen, who is one of the best running back pass catchers in the league, has also been playing great lately for the Giants, basically becoming Manning's security blanket.

The Giants defense has taken on the motto "bend but don't break" this year. The defense for the Giants ranks 27th in yards allowed, but only 12th in points given up. The biggest issue for the Giants has been their secondary.

The Giants face the Dallas Cowboys next week.

Philadelphia Eagles (2-3)

It's been kind of a bumpy, inconsistent ride for the Eagles so far. Chip Kelly has been criticized a lot for trading away so many quality players this offseason. But, what's done is done, and the Eagles are 2-3, leaving them still very much in the running. Last week they picked up a very impressive victory over the New Orleans Saints to get back to 2-3. If the Eagles can beat the Giants on Monday night, they're right back in this thing.

Sam Bradford knows this is his biggest game in an Eagles uniform, as the team is 0-2 against NFC East opponents so far this year.

By far the Eagles' biggest disappointment has been DeMarco Murray. Last year Murray led the entire NFL in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, but he has just 130 rushing yards so far this year. Outside of Jordan Matthews, the Eagles are pretty thin at wide receiver.

Like the Giants, the Eagles have some big problems in their secondary. The team's pass defense ranks 25th overall in the league. Whether or not Beckham plays may very well make the difference in this one.

The Eagles face the Carolina Panthers next week.

Schedule

The New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles will play each other on Monday, Oct. 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. The game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. You can watch a live game stream here.

Prediction

The Eagles will have home-field advantage, but their lack of a running game will hurt them. Manning is playing great right now, especially at avoiding turnovers, and the Giants have always been a good road team under Coughlin.

Giants win 27-24
