iOS support for Samsung Gear S2 is coming. Sam Mobile confirmed on their report, citing their insiders, that the South Korean tech giant is developing a Gear Manager app for iOS.

As described on the report, the Gear Manager for iOS will allow iPhone owners to connect their smartphone to the Tizen-powered wearable from Samsung. There're not many details released yet for this news update on the Samsung Gear S2.

But as for the possible release schedule, the report from Phone Arena cited that Samsung is reportedly eyeing to launch the Gear Manager app for iOS the soonest possible time. Ideally, before the iPhone maker released the newest version of the Apple Watch.

The Samsung Gear S2 was released on October 2015 and it is currently available in the US and in Korea. Currently, the smartwatch has compatibility support with Android mobile devices running on, at least, Android 4.4 KitKat.

Samsung Gear S2 features various apps. One of its key features is its unique rotating bezel, which acts as the main control for the elements showing onscreen.

As described on the official site, "Gear S2 comes full circle with a durable stainless steel body that sits slim and sleek on your wrist." It also added that replacing the watch bands and personalizing the watch face are easy, making it a "device for all occasions."

A previous report from Latin Post noted the recent firmware update released for Samsung Gear S2. Citing Phandroid, the newest firmware update release for the Samsung smartwatch bring in an "Add Widgets" label, which can be found under the plus symbol making it easier for users to understand the function.

Furthermore, this latest Samsung Gear S2 update enables the wearable device to vibrate once it gets disconnected from the smartphone. New screen timeout options are also provided, including 15 seconds, 30 seconds, one minute and five minutes.

Samsung Gear S2 users will also find a small orange circle once they update their device with the latest firmware. Phandroid's report described that it is a notification indicator that will appear when "notifications aren't set to wake up the screen."

As for new features and apps, users who have updated their Samsung Gear 2 will find a Flipboard News Briefing app, a World clock and lastly, a Starbucks app. Meanwhile, the firmware update in South Korea offers a new navigation app for the users.
