Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Marcos Maidana will finally let their fists do the talking when they collide on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather, who will put his WBC welterweight title and unblemished record on the line, is looking for an impressive win to silence his critics.

The 37-year-old champion, who is set to earn a guaranteed purse of $32 million, said in an interview that he is determined to score a knockout win against Maidana, predicting that the fight will not go the distance.

"I want to look impressive when I go out there Saturday," Mayweather said via BoxingScene. "I want to look impressive, put on a good show, and we don't look for this fight to go the distance. Robert (Garcia) talking about he's not looking for the fight to go the distance. We not looking for it to go the distance. You gonna get a hell of a fight Saturday. I guarantee you that."

Maidana also vowed to be at his best in his biggest fight of his career. The 30-year-old Argentine said that he trained harder than ever while also confidently adding that he is in the best shape of his career -- even better than his condition when he defeated Adrien Broner in December last year.

"We worked a lot in the last six weeks to be in the best shape of our lives. That's why I look good. No one's looking better," said Maidana, who credited strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza for his impressive shape heading into Saturday night's bout.

Maidana, who will put his WBA welterweight title at stake, will be a heavy underdog heading into fight night as Mayweather is listed as a 12-1 favorite.

Boxing analysts are convinced that Maidana's only chance is to score a knockout win against the reigning pound-for-pound king with most experts saying that the Argentine will be lucky to win one or two rounds.

Saturday night's massive fight card, which will feature three big undercard bouts, will start at 9 p.m. EST on ShowTime PPV.
