The long wait is officially over for football fans -- the NFL Draft kicks off Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. EDT with the best college players across the country being selected to various teams. Thursday will feature the first round selections that will forever change the landscape of NFL teams, some for better and some for worse.

There's still a lot of questions about the first round. Here's the five biggest questions surrounding the first round of the NFL draft.

1. Who will draft Johhny Manziel?

Manziel is by far the most talked about player in this draft. He's the Tebow of 2014. Some teams may be hesitant to draft a player who brings so much attention and is such a lightning rod for media buzz. But on the flip side, Manziel might be worth it. In his two years at Texas A&M, Manziel threw 63 touchdowns, 22 interceptions and had a 164.1 passer rating. A lot of teams that draft high (Browns, Jaguars, Texans, Raiders) could really use a quarterback. Most likely, Johhny Football will get drafted in the first round, but to what team remains a mystery.

2. Who will the Houston Texans Draft No. 1 overall?

The Texans have had a lot of time to think about this; four months to be exact. Quarterback is by far the most popular selection when It comes to the No. 1 overall pick, but it doesn't appear that the Texans are 100 percent sold on this year's quarterback class. Texans has explored possibly trading the top pick as well. Most likely, the Texans will select defensive end Jadeveon Clowney first, but anything can happen.

3. Will a running back be drafted?

It's really sad what's happened to this position. Last year's draft featured zero running backs selected in the opening round and that might just happen again this year. This draft doesn't feature any instant start running backs like past drafts; Tre Mason, Carlos Mason and Bishop Sankey might have to wait until the second round on Friday to find a job. Part of the reason so few running backs are being picked high now? New rules greatly favor quarterbacks.

4. Will any team trade their pick?

Teams are always looking to get more picks, higher picks, or better players. The Eagles have already expressed interest in getting a great wide receiver, so they may trade up. Good teams who have high picks, might be willing to trade up if it's beneficial. Contrarily, bad teams who have low picks might be willing to trade down for more picks.

5. How many quarterbacks will get drafted?

This is probably the biggest mystery of all. This isn't exactly the quarterback class of '83, but it is loaded with quarterback talent. Quarterbacks such as Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater, Aaron Murray, Blake Bortles and A.J. McCarron are all worthy of being drafted in the first round. Not just the amount, but the order quarterbacks will be drafted in has fans and analysts watching with enthusiasm.
