A new English Premier League champion will be crowned on Sunday as the 2013-14 season comes to a close.

Manchester City, who hold a two-point lead against Liverpool, is the favorite to win this year's title, but it will all depend on the results of the two teams' final game this season.

Manchester City will host West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday and a win by any margin will be enough for them to secure the Premier League title for the second time in three years.

Liverpool still has a good chance of lifting this year's silverware, but they should win against Newcastle United at the Anfield and hope that West Ham United will pull off a huge upset against Manchester City.

In case the Manchester City-West Ham match ends in a draw, Manchester City will likely be crowned as champions because of their superior goal differential, unless Liverpool win by more than 13 goals.

The odds are stacked against Liverpool, but manager Brendan Rodgers is not yet ready to concede the Premier League title to Manchester City ahead of Sunday's matches.

"It's certainly not over," Rodgers said via Sky Sports. "First and foremost, we can only concentrate on our job; our job is to win the game."

On the other hand, Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini vowed that his team will not let the title slip away from their hands, saying that the team will go all out to finish the season on a bright note.

Manchester City will have a lot of confidence heading into Sunday's match against West Ham United, the team they defeated, 6-0, at the Etihad Stadium in January.

"We beat them here in the Capital One Cup. It was a very good game, and I hope we can repeat it tomorrow. But the best way to do it is to play in the same way," Pellegrini said via ESPN FC.

Meanwhile, last year's champion, Manchester United, will look to secure a qualifying spot for next year's Europa League. The Red Devils need to win against Southampton and hope for an Aston Villa win over Tottenham Hotspur.
