Rumors say that one of Hollywood's most successful couples - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt - is calling it quits after a 12-year-long relationship because of Brad's alleged anger issues. A source close to Pitt, however, knocks those allegations down stating his "loving" and "devoted father" nature. The couple reportedly split on Thursday Sept. 15 and Jolie wants full custody of their six children. More details below:

A rep tells TMZ that Jolie is "fed up" with Brad's "anger problem" that has become dangerous for the children. Hollywood's heartthrob couple started dating in 2004 and were officially married in 2014.

Although there were rumors about Brad cheating on the "Salt" actress, TMZ confirms that there is no "third person." The cause of Angelina and Brad's split is a family issue.

The 41-year-old actress filed court documents Monday citing "irreconcilable differences" as a reason for divorce. In the document, she asked the judge to give Pitt visitation rights.

Sources say she filed the divorce because she did not like the way Brad has been parenting their children. They say Jolie was "extremely upset" with the "Fight Club" actor's methods. Jolie's entertainment attorney Robert Offer confirmed the decision saying it was "for the health of the family."

A source close to Brad tells TMZ that "he's a loving and devoted father who has never and would never put his children in any dangerous situation," calling the claims about the actor's anger problem "a malicious lie."

Jolie does not want spousal support. She just wants sole custody of their six children - 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

"This has been coming for some time," a source told Us Weekly. "This is a very difficult period for the family."

Another source close to the couple told the entertainment magazine that Jolie filed for a divorce after a particular incident had occurred, prompting the actress to act in such a way.

"She still says Brad is the love of her life, and the decision was weighed heavy on her heart," the source said. "Her priority now is the children."

The couple, dubbed Brangelina by Hollywood fans, has been one of the most successful entertainment power couples. Many stars are known for dating for a few months and calling it quits after an affair or other rumors. But Brangelina kept it going strong for over a decade - their children even read their vows at the 2014 wedding.

Other Hollywood couples who have made it through thick and thin, despite rumors of them splitting up, are actors Will Smith and Jada Pickett Smith and music stars Jay Z and Beyoncé. Will Brangelina get through this tough time and stick together in the end?
