While Vin Diesel is busy promoting his Iraq war drama 'Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk' the actor can't stop gushing about the next installment of Fast and Furious that weighs in 2017. After being snubbed by the Oscars last year for NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton, the actor expected that his new director and the new installment of the Fast and Furious to be in the mix for a gold statuette.

"Fast 8" director F. Gary Gary intended to make his contribution to Fast and Furious installment a memorable and unforgettable one. Diesel said "I think he went into making this movie with a little bit of a chip on his shoulder, going really? Ok. Now I'm going to take the biggest saga in the world, and I am about to throw the Oscars at you. Wait until you see what he does!"

The actor explained the 8th edition of the film and revealed that this edition is very different and very dark, talking about his character in the movie that really conflicts in a way that the fans will be shocked. His character is kinda cold-blooded and it is going to hit fans like a ton of bricks and everything is gonna make sense, Business Insider reports.

The Fast and Furious 7 grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide and never gotten any award. Well, Vin Diesel might have a habit of declaring his auto action movies destined to any Academy Awards. Back in 2011 where the actor proclaimed that the Fast 5 might have an Oscar conversation saying, he wouldn't be surprised if there's some Oscar talk.

Following Diesel's bolder statement about the Fast and Furious 7 would win Best Picture and as well as the Universal is going to have its biggest movie and most successful film unless the Oscars don't want to be relevant, Yahoo reports.

The Fast and Furious 8 will hit the theaters on April 14, 2017
