Cesc Fabregas is still a member of Barcelona. But he has not forgotten his past and revealed that he remains a huge Arsenal fan.

In fact, he watches every game and has been happy with the team's progress in 2013-14.

"I watch every game of Arsenal's," Fabregas told The Daily Mail. "I am very happy how they are playing, they have a strong squad, they are top of the league."

"I cannot wait to see if they can lift the trophy finally. It would be amazing, they need to be very consistent between now and the end of the season."

Fabregas noted last year that he had interest in returning to the Gunners in some capacity. While he has stated that he wishes to finish his playing career with Barcelona, he could return to the Emirates Stadium to take on a role in the coaching staff.

Barcelona has struggled throughout the year and the aging of its key players has made them a huge question mark for the future. Will Blaugrana remain the elite team that it has been over the last few years? Or is the inevitable fall underway?

Arsenal, meanwhile, seems to be trending in the other direction, especially after a terrific start to the 2013-14 season; the team has yet to show any signs of slowing down
