Jennifer Aniston has long been known for her sweet, girl-next-door looks and unassuming personality. For her new role as a stripper in the upcoming comedy "We're The Millers," however, the actress had to make sure she was in top shape and get on an ultra-lean diet.

Aniston, who has always been rail-thin, decided she needed to get more toned for her upcoming role, and put her diet into overdrive. This week she dished about just how hard she worked to get into peak physical condition. Apparently, she may have even gone a little bit overboard.

"It wasn't easy because I'd just had knee surgery a month and a half before. It was a little bit tedious. And then also just getting trained physically -- I was really in shape then," she told USA Today. "I was in the kind of shape I don't enjoy being in because it feels a little too fit."

Grueling physical workouts aside, Aniston also had to go back to a bare-bones diet to achieve her lean physique in the movie. And no, she didn't resort to any crazy fad diets. Instead, Aniston opted for the tried-and-true plan of sticking to veggies for nutrients, lean meats for energy, and cutting out carbs because, well, carbs are the devil.

"I did eat that day," said Aniston, referring to her stripping scene. "I was on a very like, you know, greens and vegetables and lean proteins and kale. When I really wanted to have a cheat day I had to have a kale chip."

That's right, the already svelte Aniston used her cheat days on kale chips. Her dedication has paid off, too. The internet has already been abuzz over her figure in the movie ever since the trailer debuted earlier this summer. Despite being 44-years-old, Aniston sports a physique most women 20 years younger than her would kill for.

And as for the much-ballyhooed stripping scene that everyone keeps talking about? Well, Aniston may have been comfortable with her body, but her outfit? That's another story entirely. She took every precaution possible to avoid any potential wardrobe malfunctions on the set.

"I had no taping. I really just doubled my bras. I had a thong and then two pairs of underwear. Why I thought that was going to help protect anything is beyond me," recalled Aniston. "Because, that's just like ridiculous... I was like, 'No, I need three bras! I need three bras because God forbid that one, if it's gonna escape.'"
