"Star Wars Battlefront 2" is the sequel to DICE's first game which was released in 2015. The game's publisher, Electronic Arts (EA) announced that more information about the game will be released on April 15, Saturday, starting 2:30PM ET.

A new trailer for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will also be shown next month. GameSpot reports that the information reveal of the game comes timed for the Star Wars Celebration. The name of the event is called The Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront II." The trailer will be shown during one of the panels of the event.

"Star Wars" fans who cannot join the event will have the chance to stream the announcement of the "Star Wars Battlefront 2" online. Not much has been revealed about the game since it was confirmed last year but information regarding its release date, platform and price is expected to unveiled next month.

PC Gamer reports that EA's Andrew Wilson previously said that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" may be released during a holiday. Rumors say that the sequel game may arrive sometime between the third quarter of 2017 until the end.

As for the plot and gameplay of "Star Wars Battlefront 2," EA has taken into account the reports and criticisms of players of the first game. Reports say that the sequel may have a single-player campaign which will offer a more in-depth look at the stories of its characters.

Many fans are also hoping for new characters in the line up for "Star Wars Battlefront 2." Particularly heroes and villains from the recent "Star Wars" movies like "Rogue One" and "The Force Awakens."
