A second person is dead from the Seattle area's novel coronavirus and more suspected cases of the disease have arisen in Washington State, authorities said Sunday evening.

Government health officials in King County, Washington, said that a man with underlying health problems in his 70s died Saturday at Kirkland's Evergreen Health facility. It is the same facility where authorities confirmed the country's first death from coronavirus on Saturday- a man with underlying health problems in his 50s.

Authorities in the county have reported three new confirmed cases of coronavirus, all at Evergreen Health. They have included a woman in her 80s, a 90s woman and a 70s man. They were all in serious condition, with ongoing health complications. The four reported cases were citizens of a Kirkland nursing facility where two others- a patient and a worker- had recently tested positive.

Also on Sunday, the county had previously reported two other patients, unrelated to the nursing facility, who were in critical condition at hospitals in Renton and Seattle.

The county also reported previously two additional patients on Sunday, both unrelated to the care facility, who have been in critical condition at Renton and Seattle hospitals.

As of Sunday night in the United States 88 cases of coronavirus were reported.

The first of those cases was reported on Jan. 21 but a noticeable increase in the rate of diagnoses was seen this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday twenty-two U.S. cases were confirmed, including that of the country's first two deaths, both in Washington State.

The cases found over the weekend included a combination of people who had flown to countries at high risk and claimed to have the infection in their homes. The cases were reported in Connecticut, Californian, Illinois, Rhode Island, New York, Florida and Oregon.

A Manhattan woman is New York State's first confirmed case.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced New York State's first coronavirus case on Sunday, claiming that while flying to Iran a woman contracted the virus, she's now isolated from her home in New York City.

The positive case in Manhattan was said by a state official from New York. The 32nd case was checked in New York City. All the cases before were negatively checked. Apparently, there are no exceptions. Saturday after a request from Governor Cuomo, New York State Laboratory has been given the ability to test for the novel coronavirus.

Florida declares a public health emergency.

There have been two cases of the virus in Florida late Sunday night which have led to a state declaring an emergency of public health.

Gov. Ron DeSantis said in an executive order that two "presumptive positive" cases had been discovered in the country's Gulf Coast: one in Manatee County, home to Sarasota, and another in Hillsborough County, home to Tampa.

Two health care workers in California test positive

Two medical workers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area screened the coronavirus positively after being exposed to an individual already being treated for the virus at a Sacramento hospital, officials said on Sunday.

Conditions for the employees weren't really available immediately, but officials of public health in Alameda County and Solano County said during a press release that the employees were isolated at home.

The rate of infection has increased to over 88,000 globally. China registered an estimated 202 infections and 42 viral deaths, increasing its total number of reported infections to more than 80,000 and the total number of viral deaths to more than 3,000.
