Actor and martial artist Chuck Norris has denied allegations that he attended last week's Capitol riot after a photo of a man who resembles the actor started circulation on social media.

The photo was uploaded to social media by a supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a Daily Mail report.

The picture of the Chuck Norris lookalike caused some confusion, which led others to believe that the 80-year-old actor attended the riot.

Norris was also a supporter of the Republican party, a Christian, and was known to support gun rights. The actor said that it was not him and he was not there.

"There is no room for violence of any kind in our society. I am and always will be for Law and Order," Norris was quoted on a CBS News report.

The actor's manager, Erik Kritzer, said that Chuck remains on his range in Texas where he was staying with his family. Kritzer noted that the man in the photograph has some resemblance to Norris, but said that the actor is more handsome.

One observer had already noted that the man in the picture in D.C. had different eye color than the actor.

Capitol Riot Wreaks Havoc

Meanwhile, one confirmed known figure was said to attend the Capitol riot. U.S. Olympic swimmer Klete Keller was charged on Wednesday in relation to the last week's deadly Capitol riot, according to another CBS News report.

Keller was charged with obstructing law enforcement, knowingly entering or staying in a restricted building grounds without lawful authority.

The Olympic swimmer was also charged with disorderly conduct and violent entry on Capitol grounds. The Olympic gold medalist was apparent on footage wearing a USA Olympics team jacket.

SwimSwam was the first new website that first identified Keller as possibly being one of the members of the Trump-supporting mob that attacked the Capitol. SwimSwam is a news website that covers competitive swimming.

Federal agents then confirmed that it was Keller in the video by matching his Colorado driving license photo to the person seen in the footage, according to a criminal complaint that was signed by FBI special agent Matthew Barofsky.

Keller stood out among the crowd as he is one of the tallest people in the video, with a height of six feet and six inches, according to the complaint.

Trump's Impeachment

Meanwhile, the U.S. House of Representatives has impeached Trump for inciting insurrection following a mob of his supporters breached the U.S. Capitol last week. This is the first time that the U.S. has a president that has been impeached twice.

The House passed the measure with a vote of 232-197 on Wednesday, according to an Aljazeera report. The vote states that Trump's actions and remarks ahead of the riot that took place at the Capitol incited the rioters.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the House's move showed that no one is above the law, even the president of the country.

The resolution also states that Trump is a clear and present danger to the U.S., according to Pelosi.
