Before the posthumous induction of the late Kobe Bryant into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this weekend, NBA legend Michael Jordan shared his final text exchange with the Lakers' star before his untimely death.

Bryant's life and career have been celebrated enormously since the Lakers' legend was killed in a January 2020 helicopter crash. Among those who shared their memories is Bryant's Hall of Fame presenter and an NBA icon of his own, his "Airness," Michael Jordan.

According to CBS Sports, ESPN's Jackie MacMullan noted that Michael Jordan shared with him the contents of the final text messages that he and the late Lakers' star exchanged in December 2019.

Michael Jordan mentioned that Kobe Bryant had texted him to thank him for a bottle of Cincoro Tequila he sent and exchanged pleasantries before Jordan decided to rib Bryant regarding his youth basketball-coaching pursuits.

In his text, Kobe Bryant called Jordan "coach," and he shared that he was "sitting on the bench right now," and they were "blowing this team out, 45-8."

Michael Jordan said that he loves the text message that Kobe Bryant has sent as it shows the competitive nature of the Lakers' star.

After his 2016 retirement from the NBA, one of the avenues that Bryant pursued in his life after leaving the league was serving as the coach of Team Mamba, which is a girl's basketball team that included his daughter Gianna Bryant.

Bryant and Gianna had been en route to Mamba Sports Academy on Jan. 26, 2020, when their helicopter crashed into a mountain in Calabasas, California, which killed all of its passengers.

The Lakers' star family chose his "Airness" as Bryant's Hall of Fame presenter, which marks the second time that Jordan has made a public speech regarding Bryant since his death.

In February of 2020, the NBA legend also delivered a eulogy for Kobe Bryant during his memorial service at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
