Queen Elizabeth is set to meet Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter Lilibet for the first time during the soon-to-be one-year-old's birthday party during Jubilee celebrations.

Daily Mail reported that the monarch is likely to miss her favorite sporting event, the Derby horse races at Epsom, for Lilibet's birthday.

A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirmed to Town & Country report that the two visited Queen Elizabeth in April. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stopped by Windsor Castle on their way to Invictus Games in The Hague.

The couple will spend the four-day Platinum Jubilee over the next weekend at the residence.

Queen Elizabeth to Meet Lilibet

Geo TV News reported that the Queen will meet Lilibet in June as the Sussex family confirmed that they will be attending the Queen's Jubilee celebrations.

Meanwhile, the Queen and Prince Philip first saw Archie, the Sussex couple's son, at Windsor Castle in May 2019.  However, the monarch has not seen Archie, who just turned three in May, since Prince Harry and Markle stepped down from their royal duties.

A spokesperson for the Sussex couple said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "are excited and honored" to attend the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations with their children.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle During The Queen's Platinum Jubilee

On Friday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed that they will be attending Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations with their two children.

Their visit has raised questions regarding where the couple will stay during their time in the United Kingdom.

Independent reported that the Sussex family will be staying in their old home, Frogmore Cottage, during their time in the U.K.

There are reportedly "heightened security measures" being installed ahead of the family's arrival.

Prince Harry and Markle lived in the Windsor home before they stepped back from their roles in the royal family and relocated to the United States in 2020.

Buckingham Palace confirmed in 2020 that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have expressed their wish to repay Sovereign Grant expenditure for the refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage.

In February 2022, the Sussex couple was reported to have renewed their lease of Frogmore Cottage while they are currently living in California with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

Queen Elizabeth to Miss Epsom Derby

Sources close to the Queen noted that it is becoming "increasingly unlikely" that she will travel to Epsom for the Derby after three of her horses pulled out of the race, according to The Sun report. Efforts had been made to ensure that she could get to the royal box on the day of the race. However, sources noted that it will be called off.

Queen Elizabeth is also seen to miss Thursday's official Trooping the Color salute and instead will appear twice on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

In the first appearance, the Queen is set to receive a salute from returning guardsmen and then with family for the RAF fly-past.

Buckingham Palace did not want to comment on the Queen's diary plans. Aides are managing Queen Elizabeth's diary so as not to tire her. The Queen has been suffering from "episodic mobility problems" for six months and uses a walking stick.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are set to meet guests at a feast at The Oval in South London.
