In his latest speech, President Joe Biden has made a sharp jab at former President Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans for their alleged attempts to undermine democracy.

Biden delivered the impassioned speech at the Independence Historical Park in Philadelphia on Thursday night.

The speech came days after the president called out the ex-POTUS and its supporters on the growing violence that continues to threaten law enforcement agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

President Joe Biden's Philadelphia Speech

In a rare occurrence, Joe Biden namedropped.Donald Trump in his rousing speech against MAGA Republicans.

"I stand here tonight, equality and democracy are under assault," Biden said. "We do ourselves no favor to pretend otherwise. So, tonight, I've come to this place where it all began, to speak as plainly as I can to the nation about the threats we face, about the power we have in our hands to meet these threats and about the incredible future that lies in front of us if only we choose it."

Notably, Biden mentioned the currently embattled Trump as he pounded on his fellow party mates who continue to refute the 2020 elections, which he lost, the justification of the deadly January 6 attack, and the overturning of the Roe v. Wade, among many others.

According to Biden, Trump and the Make America Great Again (MAGA) Republicans "represent" extremism that "threatens the very foundations of our republic."

"MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards. Backwards to an America, where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, the president continued. "They promote authoritarian leaders... They fanned the flames of political violence."

According to ABC News, Biden made a clear distinction between MAGA Republicans and mainstream Republicans, in which he cleared out that the latter does not embrace the same extreme ideology.

"We are still at our core a democracy, and yet, history tells us that blind loyalty to a single leader and a willingness to engage in political violence is fatal to democracy," he noted.

The latest speech is one of the most recent attacks the Democratic president has launched against Trump, as he likened Trump's and MAGA Republicans' ideology to "semi-fascism."

Republican leaders were clearly troubled by the description, with Congressman Kevin McCarthy calling Biden to apologize for the remarks.

Joe Biden Expresses Support on FBI, Law Enforcement Amid Growing Violence After Mar-a-Lago Raid

In another speech he delivered in front of a crowd at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania earlier this week, Joe Biden challenged MAGA Republicans in Congress, who are also well-known pro-law enforcement, to condemn the January 6 attack.

"You can't be pro-law enforcement and pro-insurrection. You can't be a party of law and order and call the people who attacked the police on January 6 patriots. You can't do it," Biden noted.

Several MAGA Republican lawmakers called for the FBI to be defunded after the "unprecedented" search at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence last August 8.

Since then, violence against the FBI and other law enforcement agencies has grown.
