Jared Bridegan, the Microsoft official that was murdered, has a former wife that is currently being linked to his murder case.

Shanna Gardner's new husband was currently charged with Bridegan's murder. However, a company linked to Gardner noted that she has been separated from her current spouse for "an extended period of time," according to Law & Crime.

A papercraft and "direct-sales" business owned by Gardner's parents, Stampin' Up!, noted that they have no further details about the situation other than what has been released by the media.

Gardner's new husband was identified as Mario Enrique Fernandez Saldana. In addition, authorities also charged 61-year-old Henry Tenon who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder with a weapon.

Tenon also admitted to being the actual gunman who killed the Microsoft executive. He was also a tenant on property belonging to Fernandez.

Investigators were refusing to release certain details on the case due to it being an ongoing matter.

Authorities showed in a heavily redacted affidavit that Tenon and Fernandez had "35 phone contacts" in February 2022, 30 in March 2022, and around five to nine in May and June 2022.

Jared Bridegan's Ex-Wife's New Husband

Fernandez will be transferred to Jacksonville after his arrest in Orlando. He could face the death penalty if charges against him were proven true to court. He is facing charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and a solicitation to commit a capital felony.

Fernandez also faces child abuse related to the February 2022 murder, as reported by CNN. Bridegan was killed with his two-year-old daughter in front of him, watching the incident.

Authorities noted that they were led to Fernandez by another suspect in the case, whom Fernandez solicited to commit the crime.

Bridegan's widow, Kirsten Bridegan, said that they are still angry that "they were walking free" while they were trying to cope with the fact that Bridegan is not here.

Tenon pleaded guilty to second-degree murder with a weapon and has agreed to testify against any accomplice.

Authorities believe that Fernandez was the principal actor in the murder scheme.

Jared Bridegan Murder Case

Bridegan had dropped off his nine-year-old twin son and daughter at Gardner's home in Jacksonville Beach. He was heading back to St. Augustine where he lived, with his two-year-old daughter with him.

The Florida Union-Times noted that he then stopped in the middle of the road near the exit of The Sanctuary neighborhood because of a tire on the road.

Police believed that it was a planned attack. The Microsoft executive was shot multiple times while he was trying to move the tire. His car was still in hazard when police arrived.

Police noted at the time that nothing appeared to have been stolen and his wife had just spoken with him.

State Attorney Melissa Nelson said then that Tenon did not act alone in the death of Bridegan in Florida.

Investigation into Bridegan's death revealed a strained divorce from his ex-wife and about the custody of their children.
