Fox News host Tucker Carlson has booked former President Donald Trump for an interview a month after his "I hate him passionately" text message was revealed.

In public, Carlson was heaping praises on Trump. But in private, the Fox News host was vocal about how much he hated the former president.

According to Yahoo! Entertainment, Trump is scheduled to appear on the April 11 episode of "Tucker Carlson Tonight." This one-on-one interview will be held in the former president's Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.

Fox News has billed this interview as Trump's first one since being arrested and charged with 34-count felony in connection with the hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels just days before the 2016 election.

Many said it would be more interesting because of Carlson's private text messages about Trump. The two will reportedly discuss various topics, including the indictment and the upcoming presidential election.

However, there is no mention of whether they will be talking about Carlson's private messages about the former president. Trump has already announced that he is running again for president in 2024.

A large cache of documents, which include text messages and emails from Fox News executives and on-air personalities, were recently made public as part of Dominion Voting Systems' $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against the right-wing network.

Documents showed that Carlson texted a colleague two days before the January 6 Capitol, saying he was looking forward to ignoring Trump.

"We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights... I truly can't wait," Carlson wrote on January 4, 2021.

Tucker added: "I hate him passionately... I blew up at Peter Navarro today in frustration. I actually like Peter. But I can't handle much more of this."

Judge Rules Dominion Can Force Fox News Chairman Rupert Murdoch to Testify

Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric Davis, who is overseeing the Dominion defamation case, ruled that should Dominion want to subpoena Fox Corporation executives Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch to testify on the witness stand, he would not quash those subpoenas.

That means the Murdochs would have to show up in court should they be asked to appear.

"They are relevant to the case... if Dominion wants to bring them to life, they need to issue a trial subpoena, and I would not quash it... Both parties have made these witnesses very relevant," the judge said.

CNN reported that the ruling was a blow to Fox News which tried to block the Murdochs from being compelled to testify. Davis has previously noted he was skeptical about Fox's claims that their testimony was unnecessary.

Fox News Lawyers Asked Judge to Bar January 6 References

Fox lawyers argued in a filing that any references to January 6 insurrection should be barred during the trial.

"Dominion's defamation claim has nothing to do with the Capitol riot," the filing claimed. "And any reference to the Capitol riot will only unfairly prejudice the jury against Fox, inflame passions, prevent a fair trial, and taint any resulting verdict."

Fox lawyers acknowledged that the threats against Dominion employees were "horrific and absolutely inexcusable."

But they noted that "allowing Dominion to discuss specific threats and their effect on employees is virtually guaranteed to arouse the jury's sympathy and provoke a desire to punish Fox for the actions of unrelated third parties."

According to Salon, MSNBC's "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough called the filing "shocking," adding that this was almost an admission that they believe reasonable jury members would blame them for January 6 riot.

"It's incredible, as if MSNBC said to a judge, 'you can't mention 9/11' or if CNN said 'you can't mention Pearl Harbor.' ... This is so crazy!" he added.
