The "Guardians of the Galaxy" are soon to be making their way to the Xbox editions of Minecraft, according to a report from IGN.

Editor of Marvel Ben Morse revealed the news on Twitter, saying the five skins will be come to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of Minecraft. He didn't say whether those skins would be available on other platforms.

Other Marvel downloads for "Minecraft" have been exclusively for the Microsoft platforms.

The skins include all the characters from the much-hyped upcoming movie, like Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket Racoon. The Guardians of the Galaxy movie comes out Aug. 1.

The downloadable Guardians skins will come out at some point later this year, Morse said. The Xbox One version of Minecraft, as well as the PlayStation 4 version, will be released in August.

Segment Next reported that they think the skins will cost Minecraft players around $2.99, similar to other previous skins downloads.

For those unfamiliar with "Guardians of the Galaxy," Marvel says the story follows "brash adventurer Peter Quill" who "finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.

"Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits-Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer."

The skins will make these characters come to life in the wildly popular Minecraft game. Minecraft, which was developed by Mojang and 4J Studios, has sold more than 54 million copies across all platforms, up from 34 million in February.

The game involves world creation via breaking and building 3-D blocks. Activities in the game include exploration, gathering resources, crafting and combat.
