On Friday, "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta" star Mimi Faust slammed reports claiming that her sex tape with her boyfriend Nikko was intentionally leaked and filmed by a professional camera crew.

Newsbuzzdaily is the online publication behind the staged sex tape allegations, reports Bossip.

This week, NewsBuzzDaily published an article with the headline, "Mimi Faust Admits That 'Leaked Adult Tape' was professionally filmed."

The NBD article reads, "Faust claims the sextape was filmed in a hotel downtown Atlanta with a professional film crew of about five. As most have already suspected, Faust claims the sextape was produced with the hopes of acclaiming fame like the leaked sextapes of socialites Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.

"Now Mimi Faust has opened up about the tasteless sextape, 'I just wanted to find a way to stay relevant and make some major cash for my family's security,' she says. Prior to the release of the sextape, producers of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta were considering getting rid of Mimi Faust because her character was 'too boring and bland.'"

Despite the article's inclusion of a direct quote allegedly from the "L&HH" star herself, Faust is insisting that the article is false and "slanderous." The reality star is standing by her original claims that the sex tape was stolen and then leaked by a mystery person.

"This article floating around about me where they claim to have me quoted talking about the tape is false. Don't support slander!" Faust tweeted on Friday.

She also tweeted a message that she posted on Instagram.

"I have never done such interview, nor are they my words. Please don't support such slander. It is sad that a news portal would post something fake and falsely quote someone. #MimiFaust."

Evidently, Bossip also supported Faust's claims that the article is false.

"NewsBuzzDaily is a parody site," Bossip reported.

Though we now know the article is fake, could Mimi Faust be lying about her sex tape getting stolen? Share your comments below.
