Mexican actress Lorena Rojas died Monday after her long battle with cancer.

"With profound sadness we'd like to inform Lorena Rojas' fans and friends in the press that the Mexican actress and singer died today in Miami at 44 after facing a hard battle against cancer with strength and positivity," her team said on Monday to the Mexican press, according to El Mundo.

Just a few days before, the actress turned 44. Her last tweet came on her birthday.

"Thanks to ALL for celebrating my birthday with me," she said on Feb. 10.

Other celebrities have also taken to social media to talk about the actress, who starred in "El Alma No Tiene Color," "El Cuerpo del Deseo" and "Rosario."

Eiza Gonzalez wrote a touching message about Rojas.

"@lorenarojas Rest in Peace, you know my family loves you and my dad, who is in heaven, waits for you so that you can keep each other company," she said. "With sadness we say goodbye, gorgeous! Find peace and light, and we will closely watch Mayra and your baby."

Rojas adopted a 2-year-old not too long ago.

Puerto Rican actress Roselyn Sanchez had a short message about Rojas.

"Rest in Peace @lorenarojas what a sad day," she said.

Marjorie de Sousa, star of "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo," also felt sadness.

"I feel so sad!!" De Sousa said. "A great companion, sister, friend, mother and exemplary human being left us."

De Sousa's message added two broken heart emojis.

Juan Pablo Galavis also took the time to write a message about Rojas.

"And CANCER takes another great ACTRESS," he said. "RIP @lorenarojas."

Maite Perroni was on "El Gordo y La Flaca" when she found out the news.

"I didn't have the fortune of meeting her in person, but of course, I knew who she was," Perroni said. "And definitely as an actress and artist, I knew her and admired the work she did."
