On Saturday, April 4, "Keeping up With the Kardashians" star Kylie Jenner posted a photo of herself modeling in what many are calling blackface.

Jenner captioned the photo, "What I wish I looked like all the time," which sparked even more outrage from social media users who slammed the reality-TV star for her alleged use of blackface and not appreciating the way she looks already.

Celebrities such as Karrueche and Zendaya Coleman also weighed in on Jenner's blackface photo controversy via Twitter, the HollywoodLife.com reports.

Karrueche urged Jenner to embrace who she is naturally while Coleman, who initially praised Jenner for the photo, retracted her statement once her fans pointed out that Jenner might have been using blackface.

Following the backlash, Jenner deleted the photo and later reposted the controversial image with a new caption explaining that she was not in blackface, but instead put under a black light which gave her a darker appearance, the Huffington Post reports.

She also tweeted a response to the backlash.

A few hours later, Jenner posted another photo from the black light photo shoot to silence her haters.

Despite her clarification and explanation for the photo, social media users are still condemning Jenner and HollywoodLife.com points out that Jenner's boyfriend, Tyga, is not happy with the shoot.

"Tyga feels like Kylie has crossed the line with this new shoot, and really and truly shown her age," says a HollywoodLife.com source. "If she was older, wiser and more mature she would never have done something that could be interpreted in a racist way."

Despite his opposition towards the photo shoot, the source explains that Tyga does not believe Jenner is racist and feels that she handled the backlash in a mature manner.

Although the controversial couple had a small argument over the photos, they are still going strong, the HollywoodLife.com source adds.
