NBA 2K14 fans have been growing impatient after a number of complaints about technical difficulties with the online servers.

The technical issues spilled into Sunday as the tweets continued to flow in. People remained unhappy despite a special update to the game that improved a number of glitches and features. The update was also supposed to fix the online issues that are still being complained about on social media.

"Are you kidding me?! The NBA 2K14 servers are still down," Matt Collins said on Twitter. Others also voiced their concerns, such as Alan Arrazcaeta, who told 2K Support via Twitter that he couldn't connect the game to his Xbox One and that he filled a request but never received a ticket number.

Although the complaints have been growing in the past few days, it could also be partly due to the fact that many people just received the game for the holidays and are trying to get used to it for the first time. This has been a rare occurrence of negative news in a season that has otherwise proved to be a smashing success for 2K Sports and video gamers.

In other news, 2K Sports was thrilled to learn that its cover athlete, LeBron James, won the AP Male Athlete of the Year award. 2K Sports made note of this on its Facebook page with a picture of LeBron in the game.

The post reads:

"NBA 2K14 Cover Athlete LeBron James was named AP Athlete of the Year, becoming only the 3rd NBA player ever to do so. COMMENT: Will he become only the 4th player ever to win 5 NBA MVP Awards this year?"
