"WWE SmackDown" was taped from Birmingham, Alabama, and it was the final show before this Sunday's "Battleground" pay-per-view event.

Thursday's show opened with Bray Wyatt, and he delivered a promo until Roman Reigns appeared on the titantron. Reigns referenced his attack on Wyatt during "Monday Night Raw." It was then announced Reigns with team with Dean Ambrose and fight Sheamus and Big Show in the main event.

The first match of the night is also tag-team competition as The New Day defeated The Lucha Dragons. WWE Tag Team Champions The Prime Time Players were on commentary during the match. The finish saw Big E scoring the victory.

King Barrett had a one-on-one match against Jack Swagger. Barrett won with the Bull Hammer. R-Truth appeared and delivered a promo ahead of their match at "Battleground."

Following their impressive show on "Raw," Cesaro and Rusev wrestled in one-on-one action. The match was described as another good and lengthy match that saw Cesaro defeating the "Bulgarian Brute."

In another rematch from "Raw," it was Stardust vs. Neville. Although Stardust was able to pin Neville on "Raw," Neville scored the victory during "SmackDown."

The spotlight then shifted on the divas. While there was no divas match, Sasha Banks appeared in a video promo with Naomi and Tamina. The trio revealed their team name as "Team B.A.D." -- or "Best at Dominating."

The main event was next and it ended in disqualification. Ambrose and Reigns got the victory after Wyatt appeared and interfered in the match. Ambrose and Reigns managed to comeback and cleaned house to end "SmackDown" on a positive note.

"WWE SmackDown" airs weekly on Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on SyFy.
