The Aug. 27 episode of "Graceland" will bring a new director, with actress Lucy Liu at the helm, and will bring about the aftermath of last week's shocking Paige twist.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Liu has joined USA's drama "Graceland," but the actress stayed behind the camera the whole time. Instead of acting, the 46-year-old star contributed to the series as director for the upcoming episode.

Liu, who currently stars in "Elementary," which premieres Season 4 in November, took over directing duties for the 10th episode of Season 3, called "Master of Weak Ties."

The episode focuses on what happens between Mike (Aaron Tveit) and Briggs (Daniel Sunjata) after the kidnapping of Logan (Lawrence Gilliard Jr.). Mike is worried that Briggs may not be trusted and may not be the leader he used to be.

However, this week's episode will also bring about the consequences of Paige's (Serinda Swan) killing of Toros (Val Lauren).

In last week's episode, Paige, who had been working on seducing Toros, met with him. But after running off, he followed her home and attacked her. Paige was then forced to kill him in self defense. When Briggs and Mike arrive to Graceland, Paige is covered in blood after slitting Toros' throat.

In an interview with TVLine about Season 3, Swan explained what it was like to film her aggressive scenes with Lauren.

"When you have a scene like this, basically you have a conversation with the other actor about your boundaries," said Swan. "There has to be a certain amount of [physical contact] in order for it to play real but there has to be a boundary in order for the person to feel safe. Val was like, 'You can really hit me.' I'm like, 'no, dude, you don't want me to really hit you.' Finally, the stunt coordinator came over to say that for one of the takes, I'm actually going to have to slap him - and Val was super stoked."

"Graceland" airs at 10 p.m. on Thursday on USA. Check out a sneak peek of the upcoming episode, directed by Lucy Liu, below.
